Fifteen years on remote properties together.
Meet Jordan and Cindy — operators who now recruit for the properties they've run themselves.
Our story
We're Jordan and Cindy — partners in business and in life, running properties together across our working lives. Cindy started out as a chef on fly-in fly-out sites in northern Canada, and Jordan is a carpenter by trade. We met in the Canadian Rockies. From off-grid Canadian cabins to luxury lodges in the Northern Territory, the Great Ocean Road, and remote properties across Australia.
Between us we've done every role a remote property demands — management, maintenance, kitchens, front of house, the lot. That's why we understand both ends: how a luxury lodge needs to run, and how an off-grid property survives when the nearest help is four hours away.
Why we started
Staffing remote properties is hard. Finding someone with the right CV is the easy part. The hard part is finding someone who can handle the reality — the close quarters, the isolation, things breaking when the nearest help is hours away.
We've lived that. That's why we started Wild Ops.
Our standard
The candidates we send you are the ones we'd hire for our own properties.
Our values
Honest
We tell you what we think, not what you want to hear. When a candidate isn't right for the role, we'll tell you.
Practical
We've done the work — every role, every shift, every breakdown. Our advice comes from experience, not theory.
Committed
We stay in touch after placement. How your hire works out is part of how we judge our own work.
